Why shouldn't my goose Sing as well as thy goose When I paid for my goose Twice as much as thou?

The fresh air of autumn It makes me feel like dancing For dance moves, I look to The animals and plants We're grooving We're swooping It's The Moth Ball! (Gotta bop with the fresh crops) Fresh autumn breeze Blows through the trees A sudden release Of falling leaves I see a fox in the meadow Wanna try a foxtrot, see how that goes Foxes like boxes? (Yes!) Foxes like boxes (Box step!) I watch them harvest the corn stalks Makes me wanna take a little corn walk Snacking on a little bit of corn cob Snacking on a little bit of corn popped (Corn is born!) Makes me wanna take a little corn walk Snacking on a little bit of corn cob Snacking on a little bit of corn popped Out pops the chubby cheeks From the muddy bank For this groovy dance You’ve got the chipmunks to thank Everybody in the neighborhood Is dancing like a turkey out in the woods Everybody in the neighborhood Is dancing like a turkey out in the woods

Have you seen the ghost of John? Long white bones and the rest all gone Ooh ooh Wouldn't it be chilly with no skin on?

about

This collection of songs is the third release produced by guest music instructor Maddi in collaboration with her students at River Farm Forest School in Alexandria, VA.

"Why Shouldn't My Goose?" is a silly choral round sprinkled with old English. "The Moth Ball" is our masterpiece: an autumnal pop song with all original lyrics and corresponding dances. "Abstract Sounds for Woodsy Mischief-Making" features a whimsical tuba solo set over a collection of field recordings made while exploring the woods together. Finally, "Have You Seen The Ghost Of John?" is a haunting Halloween song that only the bravest of souls will enjoy.
